THE FINAL HARVEST

The Seven of Seven Revivals (49) In my previous teaching on the Revival I emphasized a lot on Seven of Seven Revivals from the Day of Pentecost to the time of Jesus Second Coming. The question is why is this important, why Forty Nine and what does the Bible say about it?

THE SEVEN SABBATHS AND THE JEWISH HARVESTS The Sabbaths The first time we come across the number Forty Nine in the scriptures is when God is giving Moses instructions concerning the Sabbaths. God tells Moses that every six years they shall till the land and the Seventh year shall be a Sabbath to the land. He then tells them to count Seven Sabbaths which is equivalent to Forty Nine years after which the Trumpet of Jubilee shall be sounded on the Tenth day of the Seventh month. The Fiftieth year shall therefore be the year of Jubilee (Leviticus 25:3,4,8-12).

So, how is this connected to the harvests and why Forty Nine? To answer this we have to Trace it back from The Day of Pentecost. The Harvests The Day of Pentecost fell on the Fiftieth Day which marked the end of Harvest in the Jewish calendar at which the Feast of Weeks (Festival of Shavu’ot) was marked. To look at this deeply, from the scriptures we understand that the Jewish people had to mark Seven Weeks of Harvest According to the instructions given to Moses. This would bring the number to Forty Nine days (Deut. 16:9). They were then to mark The Feast of Weeks at the end of Harvest which brings us to the Fiftieth Day thus, The day of Pentecost (Deut. 16:10). How is this tied to the Sabbaths? We’ll, there are Seven Sabbaths which brings us to The year of Jubilee and Seven Weeks of Harvest which brings us to the Feast of Weeks that coincides with Pentecost. But more to this, we see God directing the Children of Israel to bring in a number of offerings from the Harvest on various Sabbaths. So here we realize that for every Sabbath there was an offering given and every offering must have come from a particular Harvest (Lev. 23:15-21). The Final Harvest This is the most important part in three ways;- First is the kind of offering to be offered Fifty Days after the Seventh Sabbath, second is on the proclamation that they were to make and third was the nature and conditions for the harvest to be made (Lev. 23:15-22). Having looked at these we find Three very important facts about the Revivals. First is The Sabbaths, Second is the Harvests and Third is the Seven Sevens which is Forty Nine. But The Most important thing which we find as a unifying Factor between The Old Covenant and The New Covenant, The House of Israel and The Body of Christ is The Day of Pentecost. This is because it marked the End of one Era and the Beginning of a New Era that begins the fulfillment of the Prophecy of Joel.

HE IS COMING!! So what shall we say then? Whenever Jesus talked about the harvest and labourers, He spoke to an audience which understood the Sabbaths and the Harvests and so they could relate. This is important for us to understand as Believers so that we may know what this means to our timeline (Joel 3:13, Mark 4:29, Rev. 14:14-16). As I said before, and I say it again;- the Harvest of The Church began at The Day of Pentecost, and we’ve already had Six sets of Seven Harvests. The Seventh set of Seven, which is THE FINAL HARVEST, is just about to explode. Can you see it? Do you perceive it? He is coming!! 👉🏽 J.J.M.
